The Angkor Wat Temple Series

Morning blues @ Angkor Vat
Morning blues @ Angkor Wat – Siem Reap, Cambodia

The magnificent temples of Angkor

Angkor Wat, the city of temples, is the largest religious complex in the world, by surface area. Located in Cambodia close to the city of Siem Reap, it attracts millions of visitors every year.
Some of the more known temples are: Angkor Wat and its 5 towers of Lonely Planet fame which is still in use today as a religious centre, Ta Phrom, of Tomb Raider fame, the Bayon and all its heads and so many more!
I was lucky enough to visit these temples many times and each visit was different. Different seasons result in the temples looking completely different. Rainy season brings out the moss on all the stones; dry season brings a reddish colour to many of them.
I try and go back at least once a year and can only recommend that you go and visit these wonders of the world.
